Arranged Classics

My piano training is in Classical Music and I love sharing that grand tradition with my students.  This page is devoted to arrangements I've made of the classics.

He Shall Feed His Flock

He Shall Feed His Flock precedes the final chorus of the final scene of Part 1 of Messiah. In this arrangement I tried to keep the pastoral nature of this famous aria and combine the vocal and orchestral parts into a good solo.  This piece can be used as an offertory or as repertoire for the advancing intermediate student.

But Who May Abide

But Who May Abide is placed in the second scene of Part 1 of Messiah.  The music is dark and powerful as a painting of Caravaggio who lived a couple generations before Handel.  This piece would be an fine choice for advent as an offertory and is of the technical level of an advancing, yet mature, intermediate student
