Original Compositions - PAGE 1

Maxim Gorky gives teachers the best guide for writing music for children --  You must write for children in the same way as you do for adults, only better.  I hope you will find the compositions on this page interesting, musical and something that is appealing to both children and adults.

Circus Etude
This composition is for the advancing intermediate piano student. The opening theme is that of galloping horses and the environment is that of a circus.  It's very catchy and a great recital piece.

Fandango

Here's a catchy piece at the the mid-elementary level. This piece follows the common chord progression found in the Fandango. Fandango is a recital favorite!

My First Theme and Variations

VERY EASY FIRST RECITAL PIECE!! This early elementary composition is not only a study in variations but also in time signatures. Each variation uses a different time signature.

March of the Migrant Mouse

The Swan's Final Refrain

Ancient legend tells us that the swan is mute throughout its life until its final moments where it sings a song of great beauty. This is image you need to play The Swan's Final Refrain
