Dan Dan the Music Man

DAN DAN the MUSIC MAN is our pre school music program.  DAN DAN the MUSIC MAN can be classified as "music readiness".   DAN DAN the MUSIC MAN not only exposes children to great music but develops basic music skills that can transfer directly to private lessons, especially piano.

I want to offer very economically priced "lessons" for all pre school teachers providing engaging classes that are educationally rich to aid is fostering a love of music.

We will provide many singing exercises, listening exercises, graded exercises.  Lessons include developing a Rhythm Band, Musical Drama, Notation Games, and much more.

NOTE: The MP3 files we provide by on this site is for your reference; We cannot provide you the file.  I recommend finding an appropriate YouTube video or purchasing a CD of the excerpt we use from an outlet like iTunes if you would use/purchase the lesson.

Our DAN DAN the MUSIC MAN Lessons provides an important resource for teachers to present young students with little musical challenges from the earlest stages of their development.  It helps the student, from the very beginning, to think musically.

Piano Teacher Press is planning to release LESSONS throughout 2016-2017 and will eventually release the complete series.  KEEP ON THE LOOKOUT!!

NOTE: Bookmark This Page!!  As we release these LESSONS you will have access to super ideas to supplement you studio teaching and broaden their horizons in your music studio; especially if you teach the very young.

Our First Lesson is Timbre (Violin or Piano).  This lesson is a simple exercising in hearing the difference in the sound of the violin (strings) and the piano.

This LESSON has students listening to the Mozart G minor Piano Quartet.  Students are guided to listen for the changing timbre of the piano vs the violin (strings).

The FOLIO you will receive gives you a detailed lesson plan on how to go about presenting the lesson. The FOLIO gives you the worksheet included on this WebPage.  After the lesson preparation is completed students take their copy of the worksheet and when listening to the Mozart excerpt they are to circle a piano when the piano is the most prominent part, circle the violin when the strings take the lead, and circle the piano/violin picture when there is a strong ensemble being executed by the musicians.

Don't forget, with these Licensed Editions you can make unlimited copies of the worksheet for your studio use.  Everything is included in the FOLIO.
